Up for sale is a vintage Slingerland May Bell 428 19-fret 4-string tenor banjo. This one was just given a once over here here in our shop and is ready to play. It has newer strings, a newer bridge, replacement tuning machines and a newer head. The banjo has had a headstock repair in its life. We didn’t do the work but it’s solid with some slight raising where it went back together. The Banjo is stamped Slingerland May Bell 428 on the coordinator rod and has a serial number of 42101 on the inside of the wood ring. It comes with a nice Leedy tenor banjo gig bag.
