Up for sale is a vintage Gibson L48 sunburst hollow body archtop acoustic guitar. This one was just totally gone through by our guitar luthier, Mike Lennon. The guitar had been refinished by a previous owner, so it was wet sanded and polished to the luster you see now in the pictures. A crack below the F hole was cleated, but not filled. Our luthier also re-fretted this guitar. The neck is dead straight and the guitar really plays like a dream now. The guitar has its original tailpiece and tuners, but the bridge is a reproduction. It definitely shows some cosmetic wear, but it’s a solid guitar now after all the work. This one was made in the USA, sometime between 1946-1957. We put in a brand new TKL dreadnought case that fits the guitar well. Check out the pictures, or come see it in person at Metro Gnome Music.
