Vintage Fender P-J Bass 4-String Electric Bass Guitar Silver Jade Made in Japan Factory Kahler Tremolo Bridge Active EMG Pickups 1985-1986

Up for sale is a vintage Fender P-J electric bass guitar. This one was just checked out in our store and is ready to play. It has newer D’addario round wound strings on it. The bass is pretty rare, as we haven’t seen one in our 26 years in business. It has a factory installed Kahler tremolo bridge and a Silver Jade Finish on the body. At some point in its life, this bass had the original passive pickups exchanged for EMG active ones. One of our guys believes that the bass was set up with shims in the neck pocket from the factory to compensate for the tremolo bridge. It does have two shims in the neck pocket (one of them is visible even when the guitar is put together). The neck is nice and straight, but this is one of those Fender basses where the neck has to come off to adjust the truss rod. The bass was made in Japan in the mid 1980’s, 1985-1986, serial number A002039. It includes a tremolo bar, but a case is not included. Check out the pictures for the condition.
