Up for sale is a vintage Gretsch Super Chet hollowbody electric guitar. The guitar was made in 1972, in the USA, serial number 3 2129 (the 129th guitar made in March of 1972). This guitar was just looked over here in our repair shop and everything is working as it should. The electronics all work, though the pickups are humbuckers, and not the original Filtertron Pickups. The inlays are beautiful and the gold hardware shows just the right amount of patina. The walnut finish shows some wear. This one needs some love: the binding has come off in multiple places on the neck, body surround, and F hole inserts. This would be a great project for a skilled luthier. It comes with a Gibson hard case, that is structurally sound, and fits the guitar well, but does show significant wear. I took a lot of detailed pictures to illustrate the condition. Check them out, or come see this guitar in person at Metro Gnome Music.
