Up for sale is a vintage King Liberty 2-B tenor trombone. We just serviced this one and it is ready to play. This one is an odd one, as the slide and the bell section have two different serial numbers, making both from different eras. The bell’s serial number is 302484, making it a 1945-1950 era piece. The slide’s serial number is 10038, making it made sometime between 1883-1915, according to Conn Selmer’s website. The plating on the inner slide tubes is in good shape, with very little pitting. The slide and tuning slides are nice and free moving. All the lacquer on this one is gone. It is down to raw brass. No mouthpiece included. It does come in a Tuxedo gig bag. Check out the pictures or come check it out in person at Metro Gnome Music!
